Upon returning from their last mission SG-1 learns that Kawalsky (Jay Acovone), is
infected with a Goa'uld parasite.

- The iris, made of pure titanium, is less than 3 micrometers from the event
horizon, not allowing matter to fully reintegrate.
- DHD, abbreviation for Dial Home Device, controls the stargate.
- The galaxy is populated by the ancient peoples of Earth.
- The Tauri: name for Earth from the tale of a primitive world discovered
by the Goa'uld millennia ago, where humans first evolved.
