PRETENSE - Eposode #58
While evading an attack by Heru-Ur, Skaara/Klorel crashes on the planet Tollana and seeks refuge. Narim of the Tollan travels to Earth and asks SG-1 for their assistance in participating in a "triad", to decide which species (Goa'uld or Human) should be allowed to remain in possession of Skaara's body.
NOTES OF INTEREST:
- The Tollans were relocated with help from the Nox, to their new home world of Tollana. Outside the original gate system, they built their own stargate there.
- High Chancellor Travell is head of the Curia, highest governing body of the Tollan.
- The Triad is an ancient Tollan ceremony of justice, similar to a trial, in which two "seekers" (defendants) select "archons" (attorneys) to represent them until a decision is reached by a third neutral party.
- Lord Zipacna, Klorel's archon, was one of Apophis's most loyal underlords.
- Klorel crashed on Tollana while fleeing two mother ships dispatched by Heru'ur, knowing that they would be destroyed by the Tollan defense grid and ion cannons.
- The Tollan detachment device, worn around the chest, suppresses a Goa'uld's ability to silence his host, thus allowing each to speak at will, indicated by the red light for a symbiote, blue light for the host.
- The Tok'ra removed Klorel from Skaara, to be sent to another Goa'uld planet.
